The Everest shares its underpinnings with the Ranger, and that’s the whole point. Ladder-frame construction, proper low-range four-wheel drive and serious towing capacity, wrapped in a seven-seat wagon body instead of a tray.
It’s the car for people who need to tow a van or a boat, or who genuinely leave the bitumen, and who also need to fit the family in. If neither of those applies, a monocoque SUV will ride better and use less fuel — we’ll say so if you ask.
What to think about
Engine choice is the big one. The four-cylinder diesel is the volume seller and is enough for most towing. The V6 is noticeably stronger and worth it if you’re near the upper end of the towing range regularly.
Grade changes the drivetrain hardware, not just the trim — the four-wheel-drive system itself differs across the range. If you’re buying this to actually use it off-road or towing heavy, that difference matters more than the seat material.
How we price it
Tell us the grade and the engine and we’ll come back with a single drive-away figure, usually within three business hours. Weighing up the four-cylinder against the V6? Tell us both.
Towing accessories are quoted in the same figure rather than added afterwards — tow bar, tow pack, whatever the setup needs. The price includes 12 months registration and all government charges. Nothing is payable to us, and the car is delivered to your door anywhere in Australia.
