Petrol, diesel, hybrid and plug-in hybrid all exist in the same body, which means you can match the car to how you actually drive rather than to what’s in stock.
The diesel is the one to look at if you tow. The hybrid makes the most sense for school runs and suburban distances. The plug-in only pays off if you can charge at home and most of your driving is short.
What to think about
The third row is genuinely usable for teenagers and fine for adults on shorter trips, which is not true of every seven-seater at this size. Boot space with the third row up is tight — worth sitting in before you commit if you regularly travel seven-up with luggage.
